1. Tricks and Treats
Bake or buy some treats, like cake pop guru Marsha Johnston's spooky witch fingers (check out the recipe below).
Spooky Witch Fingers Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 T. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 3 cups flour
- 1.5 tsp. baking powder
- Whole blanched almonds
- Red gel food coloring
- Small food-safe brush
Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla to the mix. Combine dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Pinch 1-2 tablespoons of dough and shape into a log. Squeeze where knuckles should be to give finger a gnarled look. (Or drag a skewer across the finger to crease the knuckle.) Make an indentation for the fingernail by pressing on one end with your thumb. Place cookies on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for about 12-15 minutes or until golden. While cookies are cooling, paint almonds (fingernails) red with gel coloring. Attach them to the fingers with a little icing.
2. Good Things Come in Ghoulish Packages
The next step is to package your treats in colorful bags with handwritten, ribbon-tied notes like "Have a ghoulish good time." Or, stuff them in these cute and creepy DIY Halloween Treat Boxes.
3. Booing Printables
Wrap our "We've Been Booed!" printable with your ghosting goodies for them to display.

4. Ring and Run
Leave the gift and our "You've Been Booed!" sign on their porch (just fold on the dotted line and stand it up), or hide it somewhere you're sure they'll find it. Then sneak away, or ring the doorbell and run. If you're at work, drop it at a coworker's desk when they're out to lunch.
